Fix content indexes in the environment:
Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus * | where {$_.ContentIndexState -eq “Failed”} | Update-MailboxDatabaseCopy -CatalogOnly
you need rebuild the indexes from scratch to fix them completely – See option
Rebuild Content Indexes:
Stop services:
Microsoft Exchange Search
Microsoft Exchange Search Host Controller service
The rename (or delete) the Content Index Folder
Start services:
Microsoft Exchange Search
Microsoft Exchange Search Host Controller service
Then wait to rebuild
